What is included in the tour

The trip starts at the rafters Meeting Place next to the Earthen Pot Restaurant in Valpoi. Here you can make use of the clean new bathroom and changing facilities before a pre departure briefing by one of our guides. Then we transport you from the rafting facility in our vehicles 25 minutes into the jungle . A 10 minute walk into the Mahadei River Valley awaits before you meet the guides and rafts at the riverside. Here a thorough safety briefing is given before you embark on your 6 to 8 man rafts down this 10 km stretch of numerous fun class 2 and 3 rapids. Though the section is relatively easy for beginners in some of the higher water levels the bigger rapids like Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks and Pipeline can be a little more challenging. Sometime later and soaking wet through with lots of big smiles your rafts pull up at the finish point where you disembark before a 10 minute drive back in our vehicles to the meeting point again in Valpoi. For an extra charge after the trip at the Meeting Place you may be able to purchase digital photos and also try some good Goan cuisine at The Earthen Pot Restaurant.
